About me

My name is Paul Adams. I am, first and foremost, a teacher. I have spent most of my career teaching in Primary Schools. I have been an ICT co-ordinator in two different schools, leading Buckingham Primary School into achieving the ICT Mark on two occasions. I featured in Becta's 'Learning Platforms in Action' and the National Strategy 'Learning and Teaching using ICT' training materials. I completed an MSc in Computing in 2011, with my efforts graded as 'Distinction' and receiving a prize from Oxford Brookes University for my achievements.

As part of my final dissertation, I created Planet: Number, on online resource for developing pupils' skills in mathematics.  Planet: Number has been successfully used by hundreds of pupils since its creation.

In December 2013, I became a Google Certified Teacher following attendance at the Google Teaching Academy in London.

I was Headteacher at Great Horwood Combined School between 2011 and 2014, leading the school to its first 'Good' rating from Ofsted in over ten years. I currently teach at Furze Down School in Buckinghamshire.

"I would have loved a whole day session instead of just the three hours!"
"Speed and manner of introduction of new skills and ideas was great."
